Readers and authors in the UK and Ireland are getting a head start on the rest of the world with International Book Day 2019. The rest of us will have to wait until April for our turn but until then I thought it would be appropriate to celebrate our stories and readers from the UK. As authors, especially independent authors and self published ones, it is so important to spread the word and promote reading to as many people around you that you can.
That is why I am sending a copy of my book A Hero Among Them: The Untold Story of a British War Hero to a randomly chosen library in the UK!
I have been so excited to share this incredible story with the world. It was initially written as a family legacy project for my two sons and it grew into something more.
The story tells the tale of W.T. Colclough and how he secretly enlisted under age to fight for England and how he was thrown into some of history's most brutal battles and survived. He continued a life of military service seeing him honourably serve for both the United Kingdom and Canada.
This heartwarming tale explores his brushes with the young Winston Churchill and Ghandi while fighting in the Second Boer War in South Africa, and especially the bonds of friendship that weather the harshness of war. Ultimately it is the honour and respect of his fellow soldiers that Colclough remembers the most.
A Hero Among Them can be found on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle format and can also be read on Kindle Unlimited as well.
